Vintage Inspired Hair Piece
I recently designed a hair piece for an Australian bride made with dark hues of black, gray, and amber. I think it turned out beautifully so I wanted to share it with you. Materials include: 1950's vintage amber aurora brooch pin, vintage black millinery silk cupped rose, black velvet hydrangea blossoms, velvet charcoal, black, and brown millinery leaves, light brown feathers, trimmed peacock eyes, and black vintage lace appliques. Enjoy!!

Ohh what would I do without floral tape??
I know I'm blogging about floral tape which is kinda weird but I got really excited the other day when I found this old box of floral tape at a local antique mall. It even has the roll of tape inside and looks the same as it does today if you go buy it. It even gives you directions on the back and has a tape dispenser at the top of the box. I love the vintage carnation picture on the front of the box. Well, you're probably wondering why I am so excited about this green not so attractive tape. Floral tape is the stem base of most of my wedding boutonnieres, bouquets, and corsages. It makes putting them together soooo much easier than any other way, and I probably go through 5 rolls a month. There's about 30 yards or so on a roll so that's 450 feet a month!!!

Magazine Feature
It's been an exciting week so far!!! WV Living Magazine, West Virginia's premier magazine, issues a wedding edition every year called WV Weddings. I am a featured floral designer for my wedding bouquet and three boutonnieres in this year's issue. This is my first magazine feature so I am totally stoked! If you live in WV, be sure to pick this up at your local magazine rack, or if you are out of state, you can go to WV Living's website and order one. Click HERE to find a list of places where you can purchase the magazine. There's tons of great wedding ideas and featured weddings including my good friend Katherine who's wedding I posted a while back. Katherine and Ethan made it to the front cover so congrats to them!! I attached the bouquet I designed for the magazine :)
